Boris, Sonia and their son Den live in a modest "Khruschev-era" apartment in Moscow. The guy is turning eighteen soon, but he won't pull himself together - he's strumming the guitar for days on end and composing songs. Sonia is teaching Russian language and literature at school, running a theatrical study group, and moreover moonlighting as a tutor. Whereas Gleb Dorokhov's family lives in Viyazov. Gleb is married to Sonia's sister Raisa. Our story begins when Marina arrives in Moscow, and Den in Viyazov. There are a lot of reasons for that. Marina should enter university and study. And it's high time Den pulled himself together - Sonya hopes that Gleb will keep him busy. Everything would be fine, but it seems that there is a mystery that has been connecting two families for years. And the reason which urged parents to exchange the children, are not those that seem to be.

The story is centered in an extravagant local, half cabaret specialized in tango, half illegal bar for social gathering and gambling party, which give the name of Tango. It developed the adventures in which involve the main characters in the series and making exuberant parades in the gallery of characters appearing aristocrats, beggars, prostitutes, players, secretaries and politicians. Between the actual adventures appears in flashback the remembers of the owner of local, Marcos Galán, and him life as young emigrant in Uruguay, her raise as rogue playboy and come back to Spain converted in a so called “Indiano“.

Believing his wife to be unfaithful, a husband deserts her and his child. Destitute, the woman is forced to take a job as a tango dancer.

Jens and Milena try to have an open relationship.

Helen suspects that her beloved son has a girlfriend what he is trying to hide. She is terrified of the possibility that her son could leave her for his girlfriend. Dainis invites her to a party in the hope that they both will be able to become friends, but due to missunderstanding a disaster strikes.
